Delirious? Concert

Last night Delirious? played at The Rock Church in San Diego. They were amazing to say the least. It’s great to see and hear UK music (which in my opinion is a lot better than American stuff) in a worship style of setting. They played a bunch of newer stuff from their last three CDs but did not play a bunch of their classics like God’s Romance or Happy Song. Sad. I was happy to purchase the cheapest tickets because in the end, everybody just ran down to the stage and I was about 5 feet away from Stu G‘s hairy chin.

For those of you who don’t know, they are actually disbanding after this year which was a shock for me to find out. They’ve been around for quite some time. They fall in the category of Christian artists who have been really influential and impacting for a really long time such as Jars of Clay and DC Talk….actually… just Jars.

Here are some shots:

The ticket that meant nothing.

The camera guy got in my way the entire night. He’d come over and stick the camera all up in my face every once in a while (literally one foot away). Crazy guy…the guys wore these stylish gray suits and Martin Smith (lead) had “KOMFORT” written on the back of his… don’t know what it means. =T

Stu’s pedal setup.

Stu giving me the thumbs up as he walks off the stage.

Of course they came back for an encore.

Bottom line is these guys are amazing. I have all but their newest CD and they make such good songs and have such good energy on stage. While it does not meet up to the expectation of the Kings of Leon show that I went to, it was a completely different atmosphere and purpose in going. I had a blast worshipping with these guys and really wish them the best as they move on in life. Cheers.
